I have read the DS1307 datasheet, and understand that you must set the 6th bit on the 0x02 address HIGH, but it seems that when I try this using, for example, 0x72 (binary 01110010), it sets the hour value to 72.

I have used the decimal to binary coded decimal algorithm (see attached code), and it still displays the hour value as 72. What am I doing wrong here? I have searched the forums for a similar situation, but had no luck.

If anyone could offer suggestions or a link to something that may be able to point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.
