The aim of this course is to teach powerboat handling and seamanship in powerboats. The course may be conducted in a variety of boat types, both planing and displacement adn the certificates issued will be endorsed to show the type of boat in which the training took place. Practical elements of the course will include: • Launching and Recovery (8 to 11 year olds to observe this session only) • Prepration of boat and crew. • Boat handling • Picking up a mooring. • Leaving and coming alongside • Anchoring • Man Overboard • Coastal Application There are also theory elements to the course.
